Description

The power supply is a product of the most up-to-date , microprocessor-
controlled charging technology. This technology permits high output together
with low weight and small dimensions. It operates with high efficiency if used
with high-quality electronics. Automatic charging affords protection and pre-
vents harmful battery overload. This considerably extends the life of the bat-
tery. Once connected to the battery and the mains, the power supply is ready
for operation.
The power supply is designed for parallel operation and buffer operation. At all
times, consumers can remain connected, be added or switched off. Consumers
are supplied with the power and the battery is charged at the same time. Con-
sumer current should be lower than the maximum charging current, otherwise
the battery will not be charged.
If the power supply is operated together with a temperature sensor for the sup-
ply battery, the power supply controls the charging voltage automatically de-
pending on the battery temperature. This ensures a particularly effective and
gentle charging process for the battery. When not using a temperature sensor,
the power supply controls the charging process as if the battery temperature
was 20° C.
The device is designed for operation in ambient temperatures of up to 35 °C. If
the temperature inside the device rises due to a lack of air circulation or due to
high ambient temperature, the charging current is automatically reduced in
steps.
