Use

ATTENTION!
• Scalding hazard! Caution: Risk of emitted steam! Be careful when pouring out hot water.
• When the device is in use or shortly afterwards, avoid any contact with the metal
surface of the device. It becomes very hot!
• Do not fi ll water past the Max mark. Otherwise, the water may spray out of the spout
while it is being boiled.
• Do not operate the device without water or if water has not been fi lled up to the Min
mark (observe the Min mark in the water tank!).
• Always make sure that the On/Off switch is not obstructed and that the lid is closed fi rmly.
1. If you have not already done so, place the base on a dry, level, solid, and heat and
water resistant surface and insert the mains plug in a properly installed socket.
2. Take the kettle off the base. Open it by pushing the button on the handle and fi ll the
kettle with tap water. Make sure that the water volume is between the Min and Max
mark. If there is not enough water in the kettle, the device will deactivate before
completing the boiling process; if it is fi lled past the Max mark, water may spray out
during the boiling process.
3. Close the lid and place the kettle back on the base.
Make sure that the lid is always closed fi rmly bevor turning on the device
as the kettle will not switch off if the lid is left open!
4. Set the On/Off switch of the kettle to position I (On). The device will turn on and the control
light will illuminate. The fl ower decoration will change colour as the temperature rises and
the colour will persist after the boiling process as long as the kettle has not yet cooled off.
You can interrupt the boiling process at any time by pushing the On/Off switch to
position 0 (Off).
5. The kettle automatically deactivates once the water has boiled. The On/Off switch is
set to position 0 (Off).
6. Take the kettle off of the base and carefully pour the water into a suitable container.
Let the device cool off before you add more cold water and boil it.
If not in use, the kettle may be stored on the base. However, be sure to pull the mains
plug out of the socket.
If you inadvertently operate the kettle without water, the device will automatically
switch off. Let the kettle cool off before you use it again.

Cleaning and care

ATTENTION!
• Never submerge the device, the mains cord, and the plug in water or other liquids.
• When cleaning, do not use any aggressive, scouring or toxic cleaners.
• Prior to each cleaning, pull the mains plug out of the socket.
• Allow the device to cool off before cleaning.
