Getting Started, Use
Follow the safety instructions in these operating instructions!
• Plug the earthed mains plug of the outlet strip into a regular earthed mains socket (wall
socket). The red power LED on the outlet strip lights up.
• Place the foot switch and the outlet strip in an appropriate place. Place the cables in such a
way that nobody can trip over them. Protect valuable furniture surfaces by using a suitable
underlay to prevent scratches.
• Connect the consumer loads to the sockets of the outlet strip.
One of the sockets marked with "ALWAYS ON" provides the continuous current. It cannot be
switched on or off via the foot switch.
If you operate e. g. a TV set via the outlet strip, connect e.g. satellite receiver to this
socket so that the receiver can record programmed shows during your absence.
The other fi ve sockets are switched on or off via the foot switch. A LED in the foot switch
indicates whether the fi ve sockets are activated (LED lights up) or not (LED is off).
Caution!
Do not step on the foot switch with force! Doing so would damage it! Also, do not
press the foot switch with any kind of object!
Maintenance and Cleaning
• The product does not require maintenance. The product contains no parts that require servic-
ing. Therefore, do not open/dismantle it. Maintenance or repair may only be performed by
qualifi ed personnel or a specialised repair shop.
• Switch off the outlet strip and disconnect it from the mains voltage before cleaning. Discon-
nect the earthed mains plug from the mains socket (wall socket). Also disconnect all con-
nected consumer loads from the outlet strip.
• Use a clean, dry, soft cloth for cleaning.
• Dust can easily be removed using a clean, soft and long-bristled brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions, since
these could damage the housing or even impair operation.
Disposal
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regu-
lations.
