Operation

• The working area for any soldering operations must be dry and well ventilated.
• The working surface must be dry, solid, stable, heat-resistant and non-conductive.
• Check whether the on/off switch (2) on the back of the soldering iron station (7) is off. The
switch must be switched toO.
• Make sure that the soldering tip (5) is clean.
• The soldering iron (6) forms a unit with the soldering tip and the low voltage cable.
• Insert the spiral holder (4) into the slot of the soldering iron station intended for this purpose.
• Remove the plastic cover from the soldering tip and put the soldering iron with the soldering
tip into the spiral holder.
• Turn the control dial (9) on the front counter-clockwise to set the lowest power level of 100 °C.
• Plug the round plug of the low voltage cable into the socket
soldering iron station.
• Connect the power plug (3) to an appropriate power outlet.
• Set the on/off switch on the back to position I. The red POWER LED indicator (1) lights up.
• Turn the control dial clockwise to the desired position on the temperature scale (10).
At room temperature, the soldering tip takes approx. 60 seconds to heat up to a
temperature of approx. 250 °C.
The product may not be operated longer than 15 minutes on the highest power level
(430 °C). Then set the control dial to the medium power level to avoid excessive
heating of the soldering tip.
• Start working as soon as the tip of the soldering iron is sufficiently heated. For this purpose,
check the level of heating of the soldering tip on clean soldering material.
• During breaks and after working, insert the soldering iron into the spiral holder at the soldering
iron station with the soldering tip pointing downwards and set the control dial to the lowest
power level during breaks.
• After working, turn the control dial counter-clockwise to 100 °C.
• To switch off the soldering iron station, set the on/off switch on the back to O.
• Pull the mains plug from the mains socket and give the soldering iron station enough time to
cool down to room temperature in a safe place and under supervision.

Care and cleaning

Only a specialist who is familiar with the risks and relevant regulations may carry out
repairs / open the housing.
Before starting to clean or maintain, the soldering iron station must be disconnected
from the mains. Allow the product to cool down sufficiently.
a) General
• There are no components inside the product that would require maintenance or repair on the
part of the user. Therefore, never open/dismantle the product.
• Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as
they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
• Always keep the soldering tip and soldering iron clean. Do not use a file or sandpaper to clean
the soldering tip. This may damage the soldering tip. Use a slightly damp sponge to clean
the soldering tip and remove soldering flux and soldering wire residue. Dry the soldering tip
thoroughly after cleaning.
• Clean the exterior of the soldering iron station only with a soft, dry cloth or brush.
b) Replacing the soldering tip
• Before detaching/replacing the soldering tip turn the soldering iron station off and unplug it
from the power outlet. Allow the product to cool down sufficiently.
• If the soldering tip is damaged or worn out, replace it with an equivalent one.
If the soldering tip has loosened after a few hours of operation, remove it and
compress it lightly with a suitable tool on the opening for the heating element.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
Dispose of the product according to the applicable statutory provisions at the end of
its service life.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
