Connecting the Device
This describes connecting all data and power supply lines that are necessary for safe
operation.
In the case of electrical installation, follow the rules governing erection of power current
equipment.
Relay connections
The contacts for the relay contacts are made via the terminals on the top and bottom of the
device. The assignment of the connection terminals can be found in this manual.

USB connection
Connect the USB-B connection on the USB Alarm Box to the USB A connection on the
DAKON-XP-PC using the USB cable provided.
The voltage resistance of the USB cables must be at least 30 V AC.
The "USB" LED shows that the connection to the DAKON-XP-PC is correct and it has been
recognized as a known "USB Device".
If that is not the case, check the USB driver installation on the DAKON-XP-PC.
The 3-way shielded USB cable supplied should be used.

Always use wire end ferrules for stranded conductors.
Solid or stranded conductors with wire end ferrules for

The dielectric strength of the connecting wires must be
at least 300 V AC.
