poses or informing the public.

• The product is only suitable for dry, enclosed indoor areas. Do not expose

Battery/rechargeable battery instructions
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around in the open. There is a
risk of batteries being swallowed by children or pets. If they are swallowed, consult
a doctor immediately.
• Replace discharged, non-rechargeable/rechargeable batteries in good time since
discharged or old non-rechargeable/rechargeable batteries can leak.
• Acid contact due to leaking or damaged non-rechargeable/rechargeable batteries
can burn your skin, therefore use suitable protective gloves.
• Liquids leaking from non-rechargeable/rechargeable batteries are very chemically
aggressive. Objects or surfaces coming into contact with these liquids could be
considerably damaged. Thus, store batteries/rechargeable batteries in a suitable
location.
• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into
a fire. There is a risk of explosion!
• Do not recharge standard, non-rechargeable batteries; there is a risk of explosion!
• Never mix normal batteries with rechargeable batteries.
• Do not mix batteries/rechargeable batteries with different charges (e.g., full and
half-discharged batteries).
• Always replace the complete set of batteries/rechargeable batteries.
• Check that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries/rechargeable batter-
ies (pay attention to plus/+ and minus/-).
It is possible to operate the product with rechargeable batteries. However,
the operating time and the display contrast are greatly reduced due to the
lower voltage (battery = 1.5 V, rechargeable battery = 1.2 V).
We therefore recommend using high-quality alkaline batteries only instead
of rechargeable batteries.
