Proper use

detector
- announcement through the open-collector output

Introduction
That small size motion detector module with a vertical detection-
angle of 60° and a horizontal detection angle of about 100° is based
on the high reliable PIR controller KC778B. The motion detector
reacts to human body movements within a distance up to 5 meters.
An IR detector which is mounted underneath the fresnel-lens detec-
ts these movements. The small-powered signal will be amplified, a
so-called open-collector-output switches to low level (about 0,2 V).
The output duration is at least 0,5 seconds per detection. The
module is applicable for automatic illumination systems, intruder
alarm systems a.s.o.

Safety precautions

If the detector module will be fixed (mounted in a suitable case) pay
attention: direct sunlight can damage the highly sensitive sensor.
