Following unpacking, check the equipment to
see that it has not been damaged. In case of
doubt, do not use the equipment but consult
an expert.
To clean the system, always disconnect the
electrical cord from the mains first, permit
the appliance to cool down and then wipe the
surface with a damp cloth.
Do not leave the complete system (in parti-
cular the steam iron) unsupervised while it is
connected to the power network.
Never expose the appliance to weather
conditions, such as rain, sun, frost, etc. to
prevent damages.
Do not store the equipment when filled with
water in rooms at a temperature of 0° C or
below.
Only use the steam iron system in accordance
with its intended use and not as a support, or
seat, etc.

tor switch for the fan function, socket, etc.) to
come into contact with water.

Attention! If the appliance is discarded, it
must be made unusable (e.g. by cutting the
mains supply and plug).

steam to any electrical components.
The steam ironing system must not be moved
around when being operated.
The catch device for the height adjustment
on the ironing board must never be released
while the steam iron is not secured on the
silicon resting plate. The steam iron could fall
off and the steam ironing board would then
fold shut.
The steam ironing system is designed for use
in a dry atmosphere only and must never be
used outdoors. It should be set up in a safe
area and on even floors. Ensure the system
is locked securely in place before each use.
Always rest iron on the specially designed
silicone iron parking well.
Always disconnect the steam iron system
from the electric current when topping up the
steam generator.
The filling aperture must not be opened
during use. (see Chapter Initial operation).
Never allow the equipment to be exposed to
the effects of the weather.
During heating up and cooling down, noises
may be generated in steam generator ; these
are attributable to the normal expan-sion of
the stainless steel material.
Never hold the equipment under the water
tap to fill the steam station.
Do not place iron on the ironing surface
but always only on the silicone tray of the
integrated system, which is designed for this
purpose.
Always set the steam iron down on the
silicone knobs.
The iron must be used and rested on a stable
surface.
Do not use chemical additives for the water
in the reservoir.
Do not use the iron if it was dropped, shows
visible damages or leaks.
Do not point the steam spray at people, as
this is dangerous.
Do not iron wet clothes, only items which are
suitably damp for ironing.
If the appliance is misused or incorrectly/
inappropriately used, no liability will be
assumed for any occurring damage.
If the safety closure is defective or lost, it
must only be replaced by an original safety
closure from Leifheit.
The appliance contains pressurised steam.
Never open the safety lock without first
having read the relevant instructions under
the section "Initial Operation and Ironing
Safety Instructions".
Attention! A faulty or missing safety lock
must only be replaced by an original Leifheit
safety lock.
After ironing, allow the sole to cool down
completely before the equipment is cleared
away.
If the steam generator overheats, a thermal
safety switch turns off the equipment, for
safety reasons. Before taking the equipment
into operation again, it must be repaired by
Leifheit – Customer Service Centre.
Attention! You must always use original
Leifheit spare parts when replacing indivi-
dual components of the Leifheit steam iron
system.
Use the complete system only if the steam ironing
station is properly connected to the ironing board.
