7. CONNECTING EXTErNAL AppLIANCES
External appliances, e.g. MP3 players or similar, can be connected via the 3.5 mm AUX-IN socket.
Note: A suitable connection cord is needed (not included).
Connect the external appliance to the AuX-IN socket (14) first and set the function switch (19) to the
AuX-IN position.
When an external appliance is connected, all playback functions will be managed through the
external appliance's controls. The VOLumE control will keep working normally, however all the other
operation controls will stop functioning as long as the external appliance is connected.
Should the volume still be too low, adjust the volume of the external appliance.
During CD playback, when connecting to the 3.5mm jack to the AuX-IN socket (14). CD playback
will stop automatically and goes to AuX-IN mode.
Under AUX-IN mode, only pOWEr indicator (6) lights up. The LED display (1) will goes off.
This appliance will goes to OFF mode automatically if no signal input after 12-18 minutes.
8. CLEANING AND CArE
Before cleaning make sure the appliance is switched off and disconnected from the electrical outlet.
For cleaning, never use corrosive detergents or solvents, as this can damage the surfaces. Do not use
spray cleaners either.
Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
Store the appliance in a cool, dry location, protected from moisture.
Do not touch the lens inside the disc compartment.
8.1 Handling CDs
Although the quality of CDs is not affected by a little dust or small scratches, you should take care of
them as for conventional vinyl records.
Protect CDs from dust and scratches.
Store CDs in their cover when not in use.
Wipe CDs occasionally with a soft cloth from the centre to the edge (not in circular motion).
Do not use solvents for cleaning.
Hold CDs at the edges.
8.2 Audio CDs
Only use CDs with the logo shown below:
Do not insert foreign objects into the disc compartment as this will damage the mechanics.
Do not leave the disc compartment open for a longer period of time.
