Operation and maintenance
Remove all packaging of the device.
Check if the voltage of the appliance corresponds to the main voltage of your home.
Rated voltage : AC220-240V 50Hz.
Place the device on a flat stable surface and ensure a minimum of 10 cm. free space around
the device. This device is not suitable for installation in a cabinet or for outside use.
Before first use
Wash the ricebowl (No. 2), the lid (No. 1) and the measuring cup in a warm, soapy water.
Rinse and dry thoroughly. Wipe the base with a clean, damp cloth. Dry thoroughly. Do not use
harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners on any part of the appliance. Never immerse the device
in water or any other liquid.
Use
Before each use, make sure that the outside of the rice bowl is clean and dry and that the heat
sensor in the centre, on the inside of the base, is clean, dry and cool.
Measure rice and water and place evenly into the rice bowl (No. 2), see the rice cooking chart.
Never put any liquid into the outside bowl (No. 3). Place the rice bowl into the outside bowl
(No. 3) and make sure that the bowl is properly sat unto the base. Close by placing the lid.
Plug the cord into the outlet. Depress the switch and the red cook light (No. 4) will glow. The
on/off switch (No. 5) will not stay down unless the rice bowl is placed in the right way: this is a
safety feature of this rice cooker.
When the cooking is completed, wait 20 minutes for the rice to finish cooking.
Unplug the rice cooker before removing the lid and rice bowl from the base. If using unwashed
rice, a thin layer of starch may form at the bottom of the rice bowl: this is quite normal and can
be mixed in with the rice when fluffing as it does not affect the taste or texture.

Wash the loose parts in a warm soapy water. Rinse and dry the parts thoroughly. Only these
parts are dishwasher safe. Do not use harsh detergents, abrasive cleaners or metal scouring
pads.
