Installation

The assembly and the installation of the device may be carried out only by a special-
ist who is familiar with the hazards and the relevant regulations. Repairs, operation
and maintenance of this product may only be carried out by qualified personnel.
When choosing a location for your device, make sure to avoid vibration, dust, hot
and cold temperatures and dampness. Furthermore, keep the product away from
strong transformers or motors.
The light effect may be operated only in locations where the ambient temperature is
less than 40 °C.
The device must be mounted out of normal reach.
Illuminated objects must be at least 0.5 m away from the device's light outlet. Easily-
flammable materials, such as decorative fabrics, must be at least 0.5 m from the
device. Otherwise, such materials may catch fire!
To ensure sufficient ventilation, do not cover the device. In addition, air circulation
must not be obstructed by objects such as magazines, tablecloths, curtains or simi-
lar items.
During installation and servicing, the area below the installation site must be cor-
doned off.
The installation surface, or mounting fixture, must be designed so that it can with-
stand ten times the loading capacity for at least one hour without permanent damag-
ing deformation.
It is also essential that the device is secured by means of a second safety restraint,
which is separate from the proper mounting supports, when it is installed in an el-
evated position. If the main supports fail, no part of the installation should be able to
fall down.
• Install the light effect device by means of the mounting bracket (5) on the ceiling, the wall or
on a suitable crossbeam. Make sure that the device cannot swing freely when installing it.
- To do this, secure the provided mounting bracket (5) to the housing with the two locking
screws (6).
- Place the tooth washer outside on the head of the locking screws (6).
- The rubber spacer discs must be placed between the housing and the mounting bracket
(5).
• Secure the device with fastenings that are compatible with the fastening surface and suitable
for carrying the weight of the light effect device.
• Secure the installation with an additional suitable safety restraint cable or net. The safety
restraint cable or net must be capable of supporting the light effect device in the event of a
fault in the main support system.
• Set the desired angle of inclination and carefully tighten the two locking screws (6).

Mains connection

Only an earthed mains socket of the public mains may be used as the power source
for the light effect device.
Be careful when handling the mains cables and mains connectors. The mains volt-
age can cause fatal electric shocks.
Make sure that the voltage indicated on the light effect device corresponds with the
mains voltage of your power supply. Never attempt to operate the device with any
other voltage.
Make sure that the connecting cable is not pinched or damaged by sharp edges
when making the connection.
The mains socket to which the device is connected must be near the device and
easily accessible, so that the device can be quickly and easily separated from the
mains power supply in the event of any fault.
• Plug the power plug into a wall outlet.

Operation

• The mains switch (4) is used to switch the device on and off.
- ON position >> device is switched on
- OFF position >> device is switched off
• The FREQUENCY dial (1) controls the speed of the flash effect.
- The further clockwise the control is turned, the faster the light effect flashes.
- This dial is active both in Automatic mode and in Sound-to-Light mode.
• The INTELLIGENT DEGREE dial (2) sets the mode and controls the Sound-to-Light sensitiv-
ity.
- Turn the dial counter-clockwise until you hear a click to activate Automatic mode.
- Turn the dial clockwise (you'll hear another click) to activate the Sound-to-Light mode. The
further the control is turned in the clockwise direction, the more sensitively the Sound-to-
Light control reacts to the beat of the music.
Adjust this control so that the light effect changes to the beat of the music.
Maintenance and Care
Before cleaning the light effect device, disconnect it from the power supply (pull the
plug!).
Make sure that the inside of the device does not get wet or damp.
a) Cleaning
• Never use abrasive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions, since
these could damage the housing or even impair operation.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
b) Replacing the Fuse
• Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.
• Carefully remove the cap of the FUSE holder (3) with the faulty fuse using an appropriate
screwdriver.
• Remove the faulty fuse and replace it with a fuse of the same type.
• Now screw the fuse cap with the new fuse cautiously back into the FUSE holder (3) on the
device.
• Only then may you reconnect the device to the mains and place it back into operation.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable material and do not belong in the household
waste. Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statu-
tory regulations.
