4.5.3 Configuration of the Access Point

Open up an internet explorer browser window. Enter the address
192.168.0.1. Select User: root and Password: admin. Once in
the configuration window, you have to make sure that wireless
mode is 'AP' (infrastructure / access point), SSID is
'ATT_WLAN'.
In the wireless security settings, you have to select security mode
'WEP', and for the 64bit Key 1, you enter '9911991199'.
ON ALL SELECTION WINDOWS, YOU HAVE TO PRESS
'SAVE'
Finally, in 'Setup' -> 'Basic Setup', scroll down to 'Local IP
Address'.
Set this one to 192.168.100.30 or 192.168.100.31, depending
whether it is a primary access point (1 987 009 U65N), or a

secondary one (1 987 009 U66N). Also, you should disable the
DHCP function. Also here, press 'Save'. It is recommended that
you mark as well the chosen IP address, the user name and
password (that is there now with the new firmware!) on a sticker
on the access point.
After disconnecting the network cable, unpowering and repowe-
ring the access point, it is time for a functional check. On the PC,
the wireless symbol on the right bottom should now be green,
and you should be able to 'ping' the access point from the PC:
Start -> run -> cmd -> ping 192.168.100.30 -> there should be
answers.

Startup and Operation of the Rugboard

Prerequisite for working with the Rugboard is as well that the IP
configuration of the whole wireless network is correct, and that
VNC Server is running on the PC. If the PC's configuration was
done according to chapter 2, this program is loaded automatical-
ly.
You will see the blue/yellow UltraVNC Server icon on the
taskbar, if it is active:
