GENERAL
The PHONE AMP G99 is a stereo headphone
amplifier designed for low-, medium- and high -
Z loads (16 ... 600 ohms), as typical for most
high quality headsets.
Due to its noise- and THD-optimized circuitry
layout,
specially
adapted
mentioned headphones, PHONE-AMP G99
covers highest quality demands.
Its features comprise:
-
Balanced inputs via XLR
-
High grade volume control for
enhanced linearity and lowest crosstalk
-
Discret amplifier design
-
Two headphone sockets
In spite of its compact dimensions, PHONE-
AMP G99 offers optimum flexibility and highest
output power.
Reliability even under rough or improper hand-
ling conditions has been another important goal
of development.
Thus, the unit is absolutely long-term short-
circuit proof.
In addition, the PHONE-AMP G99 is equipped
with internal filters to prevent overload by
inaudibly high frequencies.
THE CASE
The case of PHONE-AMP G99 is made of
coated steel while front and backpanels are
made from stainless steel.
Due to the thickness of the materials used, the
unit is well protected against mechanical
influences.
EARTH AND GROUND
The Case of PHONE-AMP G99 is connected to
earth potential and the internal ground potential
is connected to the case.

THE POWER SUPPLY
Mains is connected via a three-pin IEC/CEE
socket and a matching three-wire mains cable
with "Schuko"-type mains connector.
The unit is set to a mains voltage of 230 VAC.
The mains voltage may alter between 190 ...
240 V without affecting a proper operation.
The built-in mains transformers are long-term
short-circuit proof. They are generating the
internal supply voltage of +/- 30 Volt.
THE MAINS FUSE
The 0,25 AT fuse is internally soldered in place
on the PCB.
ATTENTION !!
FOLLOW THE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
A blown fuse may refer to internal problems and
should only been replaced during qualified
servicing works !!
THE INPUTS
The signal inputs on the rear are equipped with
XLR female type sockets, allowing balanced
signal injection. They are marked "IN LEFT"
and "IN RIGHT" respectively.
