3) For power supply, use the mains cable pro-
vided to connect the mains jack (10) to a
mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz).
5 Operation
1) Before switching on, set the control GAIN (2)
to MIN to make sure that the initial volume
is not too high. Then switch on the speaker
system with the POWER switch (9). The LED
ON /CLIP (1) will light up in green.
2) The button GND/ LIFT (4) is used to suppress
hum noise caused by what is called a ground
loop or by noise interference. In case of hum
noise, engage and disengage the button to
determine when the hum noise stops and
then keep the button in this position. (When
the button is engaged, the signal ground is
connected to the protective conductor of
the power supply.)
Ground loops may occur when two
units are connected both via their signal
ground and via the protective conductor of
the power supply or via a conductive con-
nection of their housings.
3) Use the control GAIN to adjust the desired
volume.

CAUTION Never adjust a very high vol-
to high volumes which do not seem to be
that high after some time. Therefore, do not
further increase a high volume after getting
used to it.
4) Use the rotary switch PRESET (7) to select the
sound. The setting will not affect the output
signal of the jack LINK (6).
