FIRST STEPS

06.1 Inserting/Replacing batteries
Open the 2 battery compartment covers
(13) by pressing the fl aps downwards.
Insert in each compartment 4 pcs high-
quality alcaline batteries type Mignon AA
LR6 1,5V (optional) according to the polari-
ty markings +/- inside the battery compart-
ments. Close the battery compartments.
06.2 Inserting/Removing the SD memory card
Caution:
To insert and to remove the SD memory card please make sure that the night vision
binocular is turned o (no image shown in display)!
Hint:
We recommend an SD/SDHC memory card with a capacity of 8GB to max. 32GB
(for example from LEXAR, optionally available from DÖRR).

1. Open the rubber cover (6) and insert a
SD memory card (optional) into the SD
card slot (7) until it clicks into place.
Please make sure that the labelled side
of SD card is facing upwards.
2. When the SD memory card is inserted
correctly, the display shows the symbol
.
3. If SD memory card is not inserted cor-
rectly or if it is missing or defective, the
display of night vision binocular shows the symbol
4. To remove the SD memory card, first push it further into the SD card slot until it releases
with a click – then the SD memory card can be removed completely.
Note
If you want to use a SD memory card with previous fi les saved, we recommend to save
those fi les on your computer fi rst and then format the SD card before using with the night
vision binocular. Please refer to chapter 08 "Formatting SD Card"

06.3 Fastening the neck strap
To prevent the night vision binocular from falling down, we recommend using the neck
strap. To fi x the neck strap pull the two loops through the eyelets (11) of the night vision
binocular and fasten them with the buckles.
06.4 Mounting onto a tripod
With the ¼" tripod mount (14) the night vision binocular can be mounted onto a tripod
(optionally available from DÖRR).
