• Before using the folkslight system please check if it is sub-
ject to any traffic restrictions in your country.
CHarGInG
• Only charge in a dry, cool and not fire-endangered envi-
ronment. For safety reason, the charging process will not start
if the light is overheated. Enable sufficient cooling to start the
charging process.
• To charge the light, switch it off completely (see chapter
„Switch off the light") and connect the mini USB port of the
folkslight with a USB charger (max. 2A charging current) or a
PC via USB cable.
• During the charging process the

But the update program can also be started first, it waits until
a light is USB connected or is put into the update mode and
then the update program install the firmware update.
The update process itself takes only a few seconds. After the
update, the rear Status-LED goes out.

wHY we OFFer dIFFerenT mOdes and PrO-
Grams?
The folkslight system is a sophisticated high-end outdoor
lighting system.
It has two operating modes. The "simple" mode (factory-pre-
set) suffices in most cases for the ambitious outdoor activists
and for this type of user, the control function is deliberately
kept simple.
The "expert" mode is designed for outdoor professionals,
where specific requirements can be catered for. The "expert"
mode is equipped with a range of programs which meet
the varying requirements of serious, more professional users.
Depending on the application, programs can be selected
which provides more light, (we have called these "power"
USB
programs) or deliver light over an extended period (and
we've called these "eco" programs).
