Use the Built-In IOs
____________
To activate all sensors and Configurable Options proceed as follows:
a. Upload the sensor-model in device database. Download the sensorboard model for
SMARTbox IO Type
b. Edit the Sensor model if you need it (refer to Configuring Fieldbus device types)
but keep the addresses. You will be able to configure for each Input how it should
be displayed – You can define each Input as a Measurement or Alarm or event or
just a display value. Note that Sensortype is not defined here, but as you will see
the parameter which is responsible for the sensortype selection is part of the device
model.
c. "Add" the sensor Model in Modbus tab on address 1 with Baudrate 19200/8/N/1
d. Include the fieldbus widget in the cockpit related to the device and display all
items. You can now see all items of the Sensormodel and you can configure the
inputs as Temperature sensor or Digitalinputs.
e. Note: If you want to change the Sensor model address, You need to set the address
datapoint in the fieldbus device widget to your needed setting
Connect a Modbus Device to the SMARTbox
____________
The Smartbox supports Modbus RTU – all Connections parameters are configurable in the
Cloud.
Type
Modbus RTU (Master)
Baudrate
4800, 9600, 19200, 38400, 115200 (Change during Runtime possible)
Parity
Even, ODD, NONE (Change during Runtime possible)
Stopbits
2,1 (Change during Runtime possible)
Define the Logic of DIN Input
0 = NO
1 = NC
Define the send measurement cycle of the
extra analogue Input
Define the Text of the event by DIN
Define the type of the event by DIN
Define the Series of Measurement by AIN
Define the Type of Measurement by AIN
Define the Location update in min
If it is set to 0, then Location is derived
only at startUp.
Define the Min of AIN Value conversion (if
AIN is set to 0...20mA by jumper)
Define the Max of AIN Value conversion
(if AIN is set to 0...20mA by jumper)
If GPS Hardware option is available you
can enable the GPS function by setting 1
and disable by settings 0. Note:
-
The locationcycle is also valid for
GPS enabled.
-
If GPS=0, the cellular location
determination is active
