temperature by a fan. The turned on fan generates a
ventilation noise.
If the fan does not operate, either the temperature of
the rechargeable battery ranges in the optimum
charging temperature range or the fan is defective. In
this case, the rechargeable battery's charging time
will be extended.

Troubleshooting

Some of the most frequent defects and their causes are listed in the following chart. In case of other defects,
contact your dealer or the MAFELL customer service.
Defect
The charging operation cannot be
started and the rechargeable
battery cannot be charged
The LED display does not light up
after the power plug has been
plugged into the socket outlet
(with inserted rechargeable
battery)
Danger
Determining the causes for existing defects and eliminating these always
requires increased attention and caution. Pull the mains plug beforehand!
Cause
The rechargeable battery's
contacts are dirty
The rechargeable battery is
defective, as the cable is
interrupted within the
rechargeable battery (individual
cells)
The plug of the charger has not
been (correctly) plugged in
Socket outlet, cable or charger
are defective

If the appliance fails despite diligent manufacturing
and test procedures, an authorised customer service
station for MAFELL electrical tools must carry out the
repair.
Store the appliance in a dry and frost-proof place.
If the supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by
a MAFELL customer service station, because special
tools are required for this.
Danger
Only use MAFELL accessories and
spare parts. Have components, the
replacement of which has not been
described, replaced at a MAFELL
customer service station.
Elimination
Clean the contacts (e.g. by
plugging in and unplugging the
rechargeable battery several
times), if necessary replace the
rechargeable battery
Replace the rechargeable battery
Plug the plug (completely) into the
socket outlet
Check the mains voltage and if
necessary, have the charger
checked by an authorised
customer service station for
MAFELL electrical tools.
