Das oberste Sondenrohr mit Spannstange und Spannmutter festhalten,

während die Sondenspitze „weggeschleudert" wird.
Mit einer Hand das erste Sondenrohr festhalten. Mit der anderen Hand

so lange am Griff der Spannstange ziehen, bis sich die einzelnen Sondenrohre
ineinander geschoben haben. Ein leichtes Rütteln der Sonde erleichtert dies.
Die Spannmutter wird nun bis an das Ende des Sondenrohres geschraubt,

bis sie leicht anliegt. Jetzt kann die Sonde durch Drehen der Schraubmutter
im Uhrzeigersinn gespannt werden.

Hold on to the top tube (with tensioning bar and nut) with one hand and

throw the probe's head away from you.
While still holding the top tube with one hand, pull on the ring of the

tensioning bar with the other hand until the probe's tubes have settled into
their couplings. Gentle shaking of the probe facilitate this procedure.

Screw the tensioning nut down to the end of the tube until it has a slight
contact. Thereafter tension the probe by screwing the nut clockwise.
ATTENTION! THE PROBE
MAY BE TENSIONED BY NO
MORE THAN TWO FULL
CLOCKWISE TURNS OF THE
NUT TO AVOID THE STEEL
CABLE BEING TORN OUT OF
ITS ANCHORINGS!
