Vacuum cleaning
Using the hose with the body installed
CAUTION: Always switch off the appliance before you attach or remove accessories.
If you wish to vacuum clean steps using the hose, always remove the body to do so (see "Vacuum
cleaning" on page 31). Do not set the upright vacuum cleaner down on steps or furniture.
It has a high centre of gravity and can topple over easily.
Release the hose from the
hose inlet on the side of
the appliance.
Fit an attachment of your
choice to the extension
tube.
If you have increased the
range as described above,
it is recommendable to use
the boost function.

Release the extension
tube.
Hold the appliance by the
carrying handle on top of
the body at all times when
vacuum cleaning.
IMPORTANT: Frequent
use of the boost func-
tion reduces the battery
charge. It means you
will need to replace or
recharge the recharge-
able battery earlier.
Connect the hose and the
extension tube.
Switch on the appliance
using the On/Off button.
After use, reinsert the hose and the
extension tube in their mount open-
ings so that you hear and feel them
click into place.
