Tip: If you are unsure of the correct optimum pH value, always use the auto
pH function.
Note: the auto pH is automatically deactivated when the pH is changed to values
outside the auto-pH curve and when the valve is set to "man".

(9.4) Hysteresis

Open with the following steps:
Menu key > select Hysteresis > press OK > enter values using selection keys (value
fl ashes) > press OK.
Hysteresis shows the switching points. In order to avoid the unnecessarily frequent
switching on and off of the solenoid valve, an upper and lower limit are set by which
the measured pH value may deviate from the optimum pH value before the solenoid
valve switches on. This saves wear and tear on the solenoid valve.
Example:
7.10 has been set as optimum pH value and +/- 0.10 (factory setting) as hysteresis ,
actual measured pH value is 7.50. The device now regulates in the following manner:
the solenoid valve switches to "open", CO
sinks. When the actual pH value reaches 6.90, the device closes the solenoid valve. It
opens again when the actual pH value has increased to 7.20 and shuts again when
6.90 is reached etc. The hysteresis can be freely selected in steps of 0.05 between
+/- 0.05 and +/- 0.50.
