2. Prepare the coffee machine for brewing (add water and coffee grinds etc.). Refer to the information in
"10. Operation" on page 22.
3. Keep pressing the Program button until "TIMER" appears on the LCD display.
4. Use the Hour and Minute buttons to set the hour and minute values for the timer.
5. Wait until "TIMER" disappears from the display or press the Program button. The timer is now set.
6. Press the Delay Brew button (20) to enable the timer. The timer indicator (19) turns on.
7. The brewing cycle will start at the preset time. The timer indicator will turn off and the On/Off
indicator (25) switches on.

12. Maintenance and cleaning

a) Cleaning

Never use aggressive detergents or chemical solutions (apart from descaling agents), as these
could damage the housing or impair the functioning of the product.
If you are not going to use the product for a long time, let all of the water run through the machine
to empty the water tank. Leave the lid open until the water tank is empty.
• Turn off the product before cleaning and remove the mains plug from the mains socket. Leave the
machine to cool down completely.
• Do not immerse the coffee machine, the mains plug or the mains cable in water.
• Do not press too hard on the machine as this can lead to scratch marks or deform the housing.
• Remove the coffee grinds from the filter.
• Clean the filter, filter holder and coffee pot in warm water with a small amount of washing-up liquid. Rinse
all the components and leave them to dry before inserting them back into the machine.
• Dry the interior of the coffee machine using a dry cloth.
• Use a soft, clean cloth that is dry or slightly damp to clean the product housing.
• Keep the ventilation slots on the bottom of the machine away from dirt and dust.

b) Descaling

Regular descaling prolongs the lifespan of the machine and maintains the coffee's natural flavour.
• You are recommended to descale the coffee machine every 3 months. However, please note that the
machine will need to be descaled more often if you use hard water.
