The battery box is closed again by tightening the two fixing screws The
torque of the screws must not exceed 2 Nm! Applying too high a torque
could easily damage the plastic housing for the battery.
Once the supply voltage has been applied, the battery is charged. When
connecting a new battery, the charge status indication can be delayed by
several minutes. The battery reaches 90% of its rated capacity after 14
hours.
To attain full battery capacity after it has been stored for a longer period,
we recommend carrying out at least 3 charging/disicharging cycles.

Maintenance
7.
When replacing a defective component, observe the following:
Isolate the equipment from the power supply before opening it!
Only use certified genuine EATON/CEAG spare parts!
When performing maintenance, servicing, and testing on
explosion protected equipment observe the applicable regulations,
e.g., IEC/EN 60079-17!
When servicing and carrying out repairs, the safety instructions
and data contained in the eLLK 92/ eLLS 08 NE operating instructions
(300 8000 1455) are also to be observed.
When servicing, in particular those components that affect the explosion
protection, will have to be checked, e. g.:
• Housing and protective bowl for any cracks or damages.
• Gaskets for their perfect condition.
• Terminals and blanking plugs for their firm fit.
• Because of the risk of an electrostatic charge, the light fitting shall only
be cleaned with a damp, non-fibrous cloth or sponge!
• Only use customary household washing-up liquid diluted in water as
specified! The water temperature may be max. 50°C.
After that, rinse with clear water to prevent the risk of tension cracks in
the protective bowl!
• One or two times a year a complete discharge of the battery (emergency
operation until the emergency lamp will be off) will increase the use able
service life of the battery and is strongly recommend!

The battery box is to be closed again by tightening the two fixing screws.
Take care to tighten these two screws with the test torque of 2.0 Nm!
Applying too high a torque might easily damage the plastic housing for the
battery.
Battery charging starts when the power is switched on. On the connection
of a new battery the indication of the charge state may be delayed by a
few minutes. After a charging period of 14 hours the battery will have
reached approx. 90% of its rated capacity.
