11.2 General Safety information

Please observe the following general safety notices with regard to the safe handling
of the device.
► Read all instructions before using.
► Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
► To protect against electrocution do not immerse any part of the unit in liquid.
► This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards involved.
► Children shall not play with the appliance.
► Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
Unplug the unit when not in use and before cleaning. Allow unit to cool before cleaning.
► Inspect the unit, its power cord and plug for any damage before using. If there appears
to be any damage or if the unit shows signs of malfunctioning, do not use the appliance.
Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for inspection and repair.

► This appliance is equipped with a short power supply cord as a safety precaution to
prevent personal injury or property damage resulting from pulling, tripping or becoming
entangled with a longer cord.
► The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop
where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
► The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate
remote-control system.
