POWER SUPPLY
This device can be operated as follows:
AC operation
Insert the end of the mains cable into the AC socket on the appliance and the plug into the mains socket.
Inserted batteries are automatically disconnected.
DC operation
Open the battery compartment cover. Insert 6x UM-1/D batteries into the battery compartment (batteries
not included). Please follow the correct polarity as indicated on the device.
Attention:
Remove the batteries when they are empty or if the device will not be used for a long period of
time. Follow the battery disposal instructions in this manual.
BASIC FUNCTION
Switching on the device
Note:
Note: Before switching on the device, please ensure that it is properly connected to the power
supply or that the batteries still have sufficient power. Then press the [ /FUNC. button] on the
device.
Note: The device automatically switches to standby mode if no audio signal is active in AUX / CD
/ USB / Tape mode within 15 minutes. Please note that a low volume setting on the device may
be detected as 'no audio signal' and the device will automatically switch to standby mode. In this
case, increase the volume to continue playback.
NOTES ON ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE
The device may be reset due to electrostatic discharge. Simply switch off the device and restart it.
VOLUME: ADJUSTING THE VOLUME
Press the [Vol. (+/-) button] to increase or decrease the volume.
HEADPHONE JACK
For undisturbed listening pleasure, you can connect 3.5 mm headphones or earphones (not included) to
the headphone jack on the back of the device. The speaker output will then switch off automatically. You
can then adjust the volume for the headphones/earphones using the [Vol. (+/-) button].
HEADPHONE WARNINGS
Set the volume of the device to minimum before using headphones or earphones. Setting the volume too
high can cause hearing impairment or damage over a long period of time. To protect your hearing, use a
comfortable room volume.
