connection to the corresponding RC-5 socket of e.g. a
CD player or remote control receiver EM 2200.

of e.g. the CD player CD 320 or equalizer FV 321.

Do not connect the set to the mains,

When positioning the unit, bear in mind that every
amplifier produces heat which must be able to disappear
freely. For this reason do not cover any vents and make
sure that there is sufficient

— Before connecting the headphones to the equipment,
set VOLUME O.
— Switch off the receiver before making any other
connections.
Aerials
• The FM-AERIAL socket
Community or Cable Antenna System or to a roof-
mounted FM aerial with an impedance of 75 ohms. If
none of these are available, connect the supplied wire
aerial (dipole) to this socket. (Fig. 2)
• In most areas, the supplied AM (MW/LW) loop aerial
will provide satisfactory reception. Connect the wires to
both AM FRAME AERIAL terminals@and
aerial for best reception. (Fig. 2)
Note: Do not place the AM loop aerial on the unit as this
unit employs a computing device which may result in
noise generation.
Speakers
• Connect a pair of 8 ohms speakers to the SPEAKERS
terminals = left, R = right). See fig.6.
• To obtain a surround sound effect, you may connect an
extra pair of 8 ohms speakers to the SPEAKERS
terminals @ (front and rear). See fig 6.

Cassette deck
Note: Switch off the set before connecting or disconnec-
ting the cable of the cassette deck.
• Connect the supplied cassette deck to the TAPE
IN/OUT socket@ by inserting the plug until it clicks
firmly in place.
This special connection also supplies power to the
cassette deck and allows you to remote control the
cassette deck through the sensor of the receiver.
• Disconnect the cassette deck by pressing the snaps
left and right together and pulling out the plug.
Stereo headphones
• You may connect a pair of stereo headphones with 6.3
mm plug to the PHONESsocket @.
Inserting the plug will disconnect the speakers.
