CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Remove the plug from the wall socket and allow the appliance to cool.

Clean the kettle with a damp cloth. Never immerse the appliance in water. Never put
•
the appliance in a dishwasher. Make sure the electrical connections do not get wet.
If the inside of the kettle becomes severely discoloured, clean it with a damp cloth and
•
a little bit of washing soda. After cleaning, rinse the jug thoroughly.
ATTENTION:
• Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents or sharp objects (such as
knives or hard brushes) to clean the appliance.
Before cleaning, make sure the appliance is unplugged and has cooled down.

DESCALING DESCALING
This appliance is equipped with an integral heating element, which prevents limescale.
•
You do not need to descale this appliance.
However, if you still want to descale this appliance:
•
1. Remove the plug from the wall socket and allow the appliance to cool.
2. The kettle is fitted with a descaling filter, which must be removed when cleaning.
3. Fill the kettle with a vinegar solution to the maximum level, then boil.
4. Leave the kettle with the vinegar solution to stand for a couple of hours.
5. Empty the kettle, fill with clean water to the maximum level and boil. Empty the kettle.
Repeat this process twice.
Never use ammonia or other products to descale the appliance. Only use a
•
vinegar solution or special descaling agents, which is available from retailers.
