Door Bell Transmitter (B)
The door bell transmitter is powered by a 12 V battery V23GA. The unit is delivered
with a battery already installed. All you have to do to make the transmitter operational is
pulling out the insulating plastic strip (B5).
Battery Change
1. Loosen the screw on the housing with a slotted screwdriver and fully unscrew the
screw.
2. Carefully turn the top up until it can be pulled off the lower part.
3. Remove the spend battery and insert a fresh one of the type V23GA. Observe cor-
rect polarity according to the polarity symbol in the battery compartment.
4. If necessary, reattach the cap of the button (B2) to the top part. Hook the top part
into the bottom and close the housing. Be careful not to fold down the light emitting
diode.
5. Reinsert the screw and carefully tighten it.
Mounting
1. On the back of the bell transmitter are two mounting holes (B4). Suitable screws
and wall plugs are included.
2. To gain access to the mounting holes, act as described in the previous chapter
"Battery Change". Before mounting pull the insulating plastic strip (B5) out of the
housing and leave the included battery in the battery compartment.
3. The transmitter should be mounted in an area protected from moisture. Mount it on
an even surface, otherwise the housing may warp when the screws are tightened
and the top part may not fit anymore. On uneven surfaces like masonry, stucco or
similar, place a solid piece of wood under the transmitter.
4. The transmission indicator (B1) must be on the upper side after mounting. There
are openings for draining condensation on the bottom. Make sure those are free.
5. Before replacing the top, test the bell transmitter as described below.
Start Up
1. With a battery in the unit, press the button (B2). During transmission of the signal
the transmission indicator (B1) lights up. If the receiver is turned on, it must react
and the signal source indicator + is supposed to flash (A6).
2. Pull the protective film off the name field (B3) and label the field with a permanent
marker as desired.
