Intended Use
The product is used to expand or create a network. It features 2 operating modes, "AP" (Access
Point; Standard) and "Gateway" (router).
"Access Point" mode provides a separate WLAN network. The product will connect to your
existing router or network.
In "Router" mode the devices connected to the product are connected to the Internet through
your existing modem.
The connection between your devices and the product can be established in all operating
modes through WLAN or LAN.
The product is configured on the product's web interface. This can be done using a computer
or a smartphone or tablet.
Power is supplied via the enclosed POE power supply.
Only indoor use is permitted; do not use outdoors. Contact with moisture, for example in ba-
throoms, must be avoided.
For safety and compliance reasons, the product must not be converted or modified in any way.
If you use the product for other purposes than those described above, the product may be da-
maged. Moreover, improper use involves risks such as short-circuits, fire, electric shocks, etc.
Please read the operating instructions carefully and do not discard them. Please include these
operating instructions when you pass the product on to a third party.

Description of the symbols used

The arrow symbol indicates specific tips and advice on operation.
The product is intended to be installed and used only in dry indoor rooms; it must not
get damp or wet.
The product is designed according to Protection Class II.
Safety Instructions
Please read the operating instructions carefully and pay particular attention to
the safety instructions. We do not assume liability for any injuries/material
damages resulting from failure to observe the safety instructions and the
information in these operating instructions regarding the proper use of the
product. Furthermore, in such cases, the warranty/guarantee will be null and
void.
a) PoE power supply
• The design of the PoE power supply conforms to Protection Class II. Connect the
PoE power supply only to a normal mains socket connected to the public supply
network.
• The electrical outlet should be situated near the product and easily accessible.
• If the power adapter or power cord is damaged, do not touch it; electric shock is
life threatening.
Switch off the mains voltage to the mains socket to which the PoE power supply
is connected (e.g., switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or remove the
safety fuse and then switch off the corresponding RCD). Only then unplug the po-
wer cable from the mains socket and take the product to a specialised workshop.
• Always check the adapter and the power cable for damage each time before using it!
• If you detect any damage, DO NOT connect the product to the mains supply!

b) General Information
• The product is only suitable for dry, enclosed indoor areas. The product should not
become damp or wet; never handle it, if your hands are wet!
Danger of electric shock!
• The product is not a toy. Keep out of the reach of children and pets. There is
danger of a life-threatening electric shock!
• Do not carelessly leave the packaging material lying around. It may become a
dangerous plaything for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong vibrations,
high humidity, moisture, combustible gases, vapours and solvents.
• Please handle the product with care. The product can be damaged if crushed,
struck or dropped, even from a low height.
• If you have any questions that are not answered in this manual, please contact our
technical service or another specialist.

C "DC" - Port for power supplied through a normal plug-in power adaptor, if PoE is not to be
used
D "LAN LED" - LED for the "LAN" port, which is lit when connected and flashes when data is
transmitted
E "WAN LED" - LED for the "WAN/POE" port, which is lit when connected and flashes when
data is transmitted
F "WAN/POE" - This port is used for power supply through PoE and for the connection to an
existing network or router
G "LAN" - This port can be used to connect devices to the Access Point
H "RST" - Button to reset the product to factory settings
Installation and connection
a) Mounting the ceiling bracket
• Choose a place that is suitable to attach the bracket.
• Only mount the Access Point on a solid surface. Either ceiling or wall mount are possible. Use
screws and plugs that are suitable for the surface.
• If you intend to install the product on a
suspended room ceiling, remove the
ceiling tile and mount the ceiling bracket
instead.
• Keep in mind when installing the ceiling
bracket that the cables that need to be
connected to the device must also exit
from the ceiling in the area of the recess
(at the edge of the ceiling bracket).
• If plugs are needed to affix the bracket to
the ceiling of the room (depending on the
texture of ceiling), mark the position of the
drill holes through the holes in the ceiling
bracket.
