NOVASTAT RF DIGITAL (RT-RFD)
USER GUIDE
MODES DESCRIPTION
- Radio frequency (RF) thermostat (868
MHz) specially designed for water floor
heating systems. Each thermostat pos-
sesses with an own personal code. Thus
a clear allocation to the receiver is en-
sured.
- Equipped with a LCD display to select
Comfort ( ), Night reduction ( ) or Off
mode.
- Temperature indication for desired value
and actual value (room temperature)
- This thermostat can be used only with the
1 channel receiver or with the radio re-
ceiver (TIMER) of the manufacturer.
START UP
Use the switch on the right side of the ther-
mostat to power on or power off the heating.
Be careful! In mode OFF, your installation can
freeze.
The setting temperatures are kept in memory
indefinitely.
RADIO CONFIGURATION MODE
- Position that/ those radio room thermostat/s in the proximity of the radio
Receiver (TIMER or 1 channel receiver)
For the allocation of the RF thermostat to a receiver, you must put the receiver in "RF init"
-
mode (please refer to the receiver leaflet).
After you just have to press "Ok" key during 5 sec. If the display ( "rF ")
-
is indicated, the thermostat sends its configuration address by radio signal.
When the receiver is configured, press "Ok" key to return to user menu. The desired
-
room temperature can be adjusted.
Switch on and switch off the thermostat
Use "Ok" key to change the mode in the
Operating mode menu
COMFORT operating mode:
Force comfort temperature operation indefi-
nitely. By pressing +/- keys the comfort tem-
perature starts to blink and can be adjusted.
The measured temperature reappears
after a few seconds.
REDUCTION operating mode:
Force reduced temperature operation indefi-
nitely. By pressing +/- keys the comfort tem-
perature starts to blink and can be adjusted.
The measured temperature reappears after
a few seconds.

INSTALLATION PARAMETERS MENUS
Press the (OK) key during 5 seconds. The display switches at first in the radio initialization mode "rF". Then use + or -
keys to select and adjust the installation parameter. Press OK to toggle the parameter setting or edit the value. If the
value starts to blink you can use + / - keys to adjust this value. Once you have adjusted the value press OK to validate
this parameter value. When you have finished, use + or - keys to go to 'rF' display and then press OK key to exit installa-
tion parameter menu. Without an input, the display switches after 30 seconds in the normal operation mode. The
changed parameters thereby are saved. Press + & - keys at the same time to reset this value to the factory default value.
rF : Radio configuration mode (see section). Press OK to return to normal operation mode.
J0 : °C / °F temperature display selection
"Hot" / "Cold" regulation mode. Select Hot for a Heater system, select Cold for a Cooling system
J1 :
Select "PMP" to perform an 1 minute exercise everyday (if installation inactive during a day)
J5 :
J6 : Air or Floor temperature regulation selection. (If no Floor sensor, regulation will use Air sensor)
Ao : Air sensor offset adjustment (default: no offset). Display measured Air sensor value
Fo : Floor sensor offset adjustment (default: no offset). Display measured Floor sensor value
FL : Floor temperature LOW limitation (default: 5°C/41°F), effective only if floor sensor present
FH : Floor temperature HIGH limitation (default: 28°C/82°F) , effective only if floor sensor present
"rEG" (Proportional Integral) or "HYs" (0.3°K Hysteretic) regulation type selection
J7 :
Cy : Proportional Integral regulation time cycle value in minutes (default: 15 minutes cycle)
On: Anti short cycle time relay ON: 2mn : Minimum time ON
Of: Anti short cycle time relay OFF: 2mn : Minimum time Off
bp : Proportional Integral regulation band amplitude value in degrees °C/°F (default: 2.0°C/3.6°F)
Cp : compensation value in °C/°F (default: 2.0°C/3.6°F) this parameter must be adjusted by a professional.
CLr : Press OK key during 5s to reset all the WFHT LCD parameters to factory defaults
End : Press OK key to exit installation parameter menu and return to normal operation

5: If symbol is displayed the measured temperature
is shown (position 6)
