Safety Instructions
• Please read and follow the safety instructions and keep the instructions where they can be easily referenced.
• To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, keep the charger completely dry and never use it near water. Avoid exposin g it to rain or
humidity.
• To reduce the risk of electric shock, unplug the charger power supply from the AC outlet before attempting
• Clean only with a dry cloth.
• Keep al vents clear and clean. Install following the manufacturer's instructions.
• The AC outlet where the power cord is connected must be close and easily accessible.
• Ensure the power supply or power cord to the charger is located where it will not be stepped on, tripped
damage, or stress.
• To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, do not operate the charger if it has broken or damaged in any way.
• Do not use or store near heat sources, such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, amplifiers, or other objects that produce heat.
• If the provided plug is defective or does not fit into your outlet, contact your customer support for a replacement.
• Avoid holding the charger by its cord, and keep the cord from being crushed or pinched.
• To reduce the risk of damage to the power supply electric plugs and cords, pull the plug rather than the cord when disconnecting
from the AC/DC outlet or the charger.
• Only use attachments or accessories specified by the manufacturer.
• Unplug the charger during lightning storms and when storing it for an extended period of time.
• Use a certified Retevis dealer only to service the charger.
• Do not modify the charger in any way.
• Do not replace the battery adapter or power supply with unauthorized parts. Otherwise, the charger may be damaged and your
warranty will be voided.
• Never attempt to charge alkaline or dry cell batteries as they may burst and cause serious injury.
• Never allow metal, wire, etc. to touch any internal part of the charger.
• Keep the battery and the charger contacts clean to obtain a ful charge on the battery.
• Never put batteries in a fire as they may explode and cause serious injury.
• Keep the charger away from televisions and radios to prevent interference.
• To avoid overcharging, promptly remove the battery from the charger after it has been ful y charged. Batteries/radios must not be left
in the charger for more than 15 hours.
• If a battery won't operate after being fully charged, completely discharge it and try charging it again. If the battery still will not retain
a charge, replace the battery with a new one.
• Replace old batteries with the exact type of battery or an explosion may occur.
• Do not expose the charger or batteries to direct sunlight for a prolonged period of time.
• To unplug the power cable, first turn off the Main Power Switch.

Charging Procedure
1. Be sure ALL radios are turned off before placing them into the battery charger.
2. Place the RTC68TTen Unit Charger on a flat surface.
3. Firmly insert the power cord into the charger AC or DC Inlet Socket at the charger's right.
4. Plug the power cord into a matching power outlet.
5. Turn on the power switch of the charging base, all lights will be on for two seconds and then off If LED indicators do not light,
check the power cord connections.
6. Upon successful power-on,
7. When the radio or stand-alone battery is properly seated in the pod, the associated pod LED indicator will indicate charging status.
