INTRODUCTION

With this compact sewing machine, garment alterations can be done quickly and effortlessly, and
personal designs can be realized.

SAFETY INSTRUCTION

1. Read these operating instructions thoroughly prior to using this device.
2. Keep these operating instructions; when handing over the product to third parties, these operating
instructions must be included as well.
3. This appliance corresponds to the technical standards and the current safety requirements for
electric devices.
4. When using electric devices, the following basic safety precautions must be observed.
5. The manufacturer does not accept liability for damages, which may result from improper use or
from not abiding by these operating instructions.
6. Before first use please check whether the voltage and electricity type as stated on the type plate
match with the specifications of your power supply.
7. Additional protection can be provided by installing a residual current device with residual rated
currents of no more than 30 mA in your home. Ask an authorized electrician for advice.
8. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or by those with a lack of experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
9. The sewing machine must not be used as a toy. Close supervision is required when using the
device near children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.
10. Do not immerse the device in water and do not use it close to water.
11. Should the device ever fall into water, pull the power plug immediately and have the
machine inspected by an authorized technician. You may endanger your life through electric
shock!
12. Use the device only indoors.
13. Do not use the device, if the cable, plug or device is damaged or if the device does not sew
properly. In such cases, bring the sewing machine to an authorized customer service center.
To prevent hazards, defective parts may be replaced by the manufacturer, customer service or
similarly qualified persons.
14. Never try to repair the device yourself. Repairs are only allowed to be carried out by qualified
specialists.
15. Do not open the housing under any circumstances. Do not insert foreign objects into the interior
of the device.
16. Use the device only for its intended purpose and only for such applications indicated in the operating
instructions.
17. Risk of electric shock! Do not operate the device with damp hands, or while standing on wet
ground. Do not touch the power plug with wet or damp hands.
18. Inspect the power cord and plug regularly. If the power cord of this device is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer or its customer service or a similarly qualified person to prevent
possible hazards.
19. Do not damage the power cord by squeezing or crimping, or by chafing against sharp edges. Keep
it away from hot surfaces and open flame.
20. Place the cord in such a way that it cannot be pulled unintentionally or become a trip hazard.
21. Do not pull the adapter from the outlet by the cord and do not wrap the cord around the device.
22. If you use an extension cord, it must have the correct power rating.
23. Never leave the device unattended when switched on; never leave it unattended during use.
24. Connect the adapter to an easily accessible outlet, so you can disconnect the device quickly in
case of emergency. Pull the adapter out of the outlet to turn the device off completely. Use the
adapter as a permanently accessible disconnecting device.
