POWER SUPPLY

The compact sewing machine can be operated with the adapter (32) or with four batteries of type 1.5 V/
LR6 AA (not included).
Please Note: Make sure the off/speed switch L OFF H (3) is set to „OFF", before you insert the batteries
or connect the adapter (32) to the sewing machine.

OPERATION WITH ADAPTER

1. Take out all batteries before connecting the adapter (32).
2. Connect the adapter (32) to the DC 6 V 1200 mA socket (19) and a suitable outlet. Pay attention
to correct connection loads.

INSERTING THE BATTERIES

1. Open the battery compartment (18) on the underside of the sewing machine by removing the cover.
2. Insert four batteries of type 1.5 V / LR6/AA into the recesses. Check for correct polarity as indicated
in the battery compartment (18).
3. To close the battery compartment (18) again, replace the cover and let it snap into place.

OPERATION

The compact sewing machine is pre-threaded and ready to use. Examine the way the yarn was threaded
to make it easier to thread it yourself later on.
Use the sewing program selector (14) to select one of the eight sewing programs shown in the sewing
program selection (15). The compact sewing machine comes with a piece of material so that you can
test the different programs immediately.
SEWING (without foot pedal)
1. Lift the needle (8) over the presser foot (7) by lightly turning the hand wheel (1).
2. Lift the presser foot (7) with the presser foot lifter (16).
3. Put the material on the feed dog (17) under the raised presser foot (7). Make sure the seam is
placed directly under the needle (8).
4. Lower the presser foot (7) with the presser foot lifter (16).
5. Turn the hand wheel (1) counterclockwise two full turns to lock the stitches and start the seam.
6. Use the off/speed switch L OFF H (3) to select the speed. Use low speed L for tasks requiring a lot
of stops and starts and turning of the fabric. Use high speed H for long, continuous sewing. Sew
heavy materials with speed L.
7. For a straight seam, guide the material along under the presser foot (7) by pressing down lightly on
both sides with your fingertips.
8. Lock the stitches by pressing the reversing lever (2) down shortly.
9. When you are finished sewing, set the off/speed switch L OFF H (3) to the OFF position.
10. Raise the needle (8) by lightly turning the hand wheel (1).
11. Lift the presser foot (7) with the presser foot lifter (16).
12. Pull the material backwards, pulling approx. 25 cm of thread out with the material.
13. Cut off the upper and lower thread with the thread cutter (11), and arrange the surplus threads
loosely toward the back of the machine.
14. You can check the seam length with the tape measure (4).
