SPEAKER CONNECTION
The R6 studio monitor uses 5-way binding posts for connection to your amplifier. The
5-way binding posts use a variety of connection methods ranging from bare wires,
crimped lugs and banana plugs. The 5-way binding posts will accept wire-gauge sizes
as large as 14-gauge. Follow the notes below:

Only use speaker cables that are unshielded and insulated. Do not use lamp cord
or any other cable that is not intended for speaker connections.

Use heavy gauge speaker cables (14 to 18-gauge). Be sure the ends do not fray.

Keep the speaker cables as short as possible. Avoid running the speaker cables
near noise sources such as lamp dimmers, other electronic equipment and fans.

