Rotate the motor head 90° in the desired direction until it snaps into place.
Now you have turned the grass cutter into an edge cutter to cut the lawn vertically.
7. Cleaning, maintenance and ordering of spare parts
Pull out the battery before putting away or cleaning the grass cutter.
7.1 Cleaning
Keep all safety devices, vents and motor housing as free of dirt and dust as
much as possible. Wipe the device with a clean cloth or blow it off with
compressed air at low pressure.
We recommend cleaning the device immediately after use.
Clean the device regularly with a damp cloth and a little soft soap. Do not
use detergents or solvents. These can attack the plastic parts in the
device. Make sure that no water can get inside the device. The ingress of
water into a power tool increases the risk of electric shock.
Remove deposits from the protection with a brush.
7.2 Replacing the blade (Fig. 14-15)
IMPORTANT! Be sure to remove the battery before replacing it!
To remove the blade, push the blade inwards and remove it through the
larger opening, as shown in Fig. 14.
To mount the new blade, proceed in reverse order. Make sure the blade
snaps into place correctly (see Fig. 15).
8. Disposal and recycling
The device is delivered in a package to avoid damage during transport. This
packaging is a raw material and can therefore be reused or returned to the raw
material system.
The device and its accessories are made of various materials such as metal and
plastic. Defective components must be disposed of as hazardous waste. Ask your
dealer or local council.

In order to comply with the European Directive 2002/96/EC on old electrical and
electronic equipment and its transposition into national laws, old power tools must be
separated from other waste and disposed of in an environmentally friendly way, e.g.
through a recycling depot.
