4.5 If necessary, have the device checked.

5. Before commissioning
5.1 Mounting the protective cover (Fig. 2)
Slide the protective hood in the direction of the arrow onto the motor housing as
shown in Fig. 2. Make sure it snaps into place properly!
5.2 Installing the Edge Guide (Fig. 3)
Hang the edge guide in the eyelets and slide it into the locking points. Make sure
that an audible click is heard when snaps into place.
5.3 Adjusting the additional handle (Fig. 4)
Loosen the mounting screw on the additional handle until it can be moved forward
and backward without much resistance. Adjust the desired position and tighten the
mounting screw again.
5.4 Height adjustment (Fig. 5)
Loosen the coupling nut until the handle of the grass cutter can be freely retracted
and extended. Now set the desired working height (Fig. 5) and secure the handle in
this position by tightening the coupling nut again.
5.5 Adjusting the angle of inclination of the guide handle (Fig. 6)
Press the tilt angle adjustment button. Now you can adjust the long handle to the
desired tilt. Release the button and snap the handle into place to fix the angle of
inclination. Three different locking angles are possible.
5.6 Inserting the battery (Fig. 7/8)
Press the side snaps of the battery as shown in Fig. 7 and slide the battery into the
included holder. If the battery is positioned as in Fig. 18, make sure the snaps snap
into place! Use the reverse order to remove the battery.
5.7 Charging the battery (Fig. 9)
1. Remove the battery from the device. To do this, press the side push buttons.
2. Check if your mains voltage matches the one indicated on the charger
nameplate. Plug the charger's power plug (1) into the wall outlet. The green LED will
then start flashing.
3. Insert the battery (a) into the charger (1).
