Please prepare a hook made of a wire, e.g.
welding wire which fits into the fan wheel cover.
Then insert the cable tie at the adjacent hole and
use the bent wire to pull the cable tie back up.
Stihl chainsaws come with 2 cable ties to be
attached top to bottom.
At Husqvarna, one cable tie in the horizontal
direction.
2nd step: attaching the magnetic sheet to the cylinder cover
Please dismantle the cylinder cover from the
chain saw.
Mark a slightly curverd area of the cover.
Drill a hole with the supplied 3 mm drill in the
middle of the line. Then use the magnetic sheet
to determine the position of the second mark
and drill accordingly.
The felling direction marking can remain on the
chainsaw when you have a newer Husqvarna
model with a rubberized marking.
On Stihl chainsaws and older Husqvarna models
we recommend to grind the marking away for
example with a angle grinder.
Screw on the magnetic sheet using a TX-10
and a 5.5 mm socket. Adjust the overhang of the
screws with a Pinch off pliers.
