Upgrading the fi rmware
The fi rmware is installed on the device as an operating system (OS). A fi rmware up-
grade means that new elements and improvements are added to the existing operating
system.
To install a new fi rmware version, proceed as follows:
Create a folder with the name "UpdateKit" in the main folder of a USB stick or an

SD card and copy 'android.osk' into that folder. Pay attention to upper/lower case.
Connect the storage device to the device.

From the fi le manager, change to the connected storage device.

Highlight the "UpdateKit" folder and press the MENU button.

Click "More" and subsequently "Copy".

Change to the "/data" folder of the internal memory of the device.

Press the menu button and click "Paste". The "UpdateKit" folder is added.

After the copying process has completed, remove the power adapter cable from the

DC IN socket on the back of the device.
Reinsert the power cable into the DC IN socket. The device switches itself on auto-

matically and the updating process begins automatically.
NOTE
The process takes a few minutes. Do not disconnect the device from the mains

supply during this process.
After copying the UpdateKit, the updating process can also be started via the "Sys-

tem update" menu item in the "Settings" menu+.
The green operation indicator fl ashes if updating was successful. If the operation

indicator extinguishes, updating was not successful.
After approximately 1 minute, restart the device. The "UpdateKit" folder is deleted

during the updating procedure, irrespective whether updating was successful or not.
