Step 6. If desired, connect a network cable to the Gigabit Ethernet (1Gbe)
RJ45 port. This is backward and forward compatible at respective
speeds up to 1GbE.
Step 7a. Before connecting any external displays, make sure to install
the appropriate software/driver for the docking station's video output.
This uses the DisplayLink software which supports multiple operating
systems.
Step 7b. After installation, plug in one or two external displays through
the HDMI and/or DVI port(s). DVI may be adapted to VGA. Resolution is
dependent on the port type being used.
Note: A USB cable is included, as is the power adapter. Windows,
macOS, and Linux are supported with sufficient hardware. Display output
depends on external display capabilities.
