Transport and storage

All parts of RAUSIKKO Box LT system are supplied
stacked and strapped on palettes.
Palette with stacked basic elements
The stack can be unloaded using a forklift or wheel
loader. To unload the Boxes the forklift fork is inserted
into the palette. Unloading must be carried out with
care. The stack must not be tilted, knocked over or
dropped.
The RAUSIKKO Boxes can be stored outside. They
have to be placed on a level and firm surface. Due to
safety reasons, the stack height (max. 2 palettes) must
not exceed 3.00 m. Be sure, that the palettes cannot
move or fall.
They maximum outdoor storage time is one year. The
storage elements are to be checked for damage before
installation. Damaged elements must not be installed.
If possible, the Boxes are to be stored in such a way
that they are protected from direct sunlight (stored in
the shade) or covered with a light geotextile fabric,
where it is to be ensured that no heat builds up under-
neath the cover. If this is not possible the sub-surface
installation must only take place once the Boxes have
cooled down to ambient temperature (if necessary, on
the morning of the next day).
