GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

DANGER: Electrical Shock Hazard. Touching some of the internal components
can cause serious personal injury or death.
Do NOT disassemble this appliance.
This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit,
grounding reduces the risk of electrical shock by providing an escape wire
for the electric current. To protect against electrical shock, this appliance is
equipped with a cable having a 3-prong grounding-type plug for insertion
into a proper grounding-type electrical socket. Do NOT alter the plug for use
in a 2-prong socket. If the plug will not fit into a socket, have a proper socket
installed by a qualified electrician.
WARNING: Improper use of the grounding plug can result in electrical shock.
Consult a qualified electrician or serviceman if the grounding instructions are
not completely understood or if doubt exists as to whether the appliance is
properly grounded.
SHORT CABLE INSTRUCTIONS
A short power-supply cable is provided to reduce the risks of entanglement or
tripping over a longer cable. Extension leads may be used if care is exercised
in their use. If an extension lead is used:
1.
The marked electrical rating of the cable set and/or the marked electrical
rating of the extension lead should be at least as great as the electrical
rating of the appliance.
2.
The extension lead must be a 3-wire cable that has a 3-pronged
grounding plug and a 3-slot receptacle to accept the appliance's plug.
3.
The longer cable should be arranged so that it will not drape over
a countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or
tripped over.
