KA6080 - 81
Method 1:
Before starting, do not install the pendulum. If already installed, remove it
1.
before proceeding.
The clock has three volume levels. When adjusted fully to the left, there is no
2.
sound. When adjusted fully to the right, the sound is loudest.
To set the time, turn the hands clockwise to 5:50. Do not turn them
3.
counterclockwise, as this may cause inaccurate time reporting.
Use one AA carbon-zinc battery for timekeeping and two AA carbon-zinc
4.
batteries for the cuckoo sound. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the
batteries.
After installing the batteries, set the time to 6:00.
5.
You will hear a striking sound followed by the cuckoo call, which will sound
6.
"cuckoo" six times, indicating that the time is now 6:00 AM.
Then, adjust the clock to the current time. If the cuckoo sounds during
7.
adjustment, you may ignore it—it will not affect time accuracy.
If the current time is before 12:00 noon, turn the hands clockwise to the correct
8.
time. If it is after 12:00 noon, continue turning the hands clockwise, ensuring
the hour hand passes 12:00 before setting the current time.
Attach the pendulum to the pendulum hook on the swinging mechanism to start
9.
the clock.
Stopping the Time Reporting Feature
This clock automatically disables time reporting between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM to
avoid disturbances. This is controlled by an internal IC chip.
When adjusting the time, ensure you account for AM or PM.
If you prefer the clock not to report the time, remove the two AA batteries responsible
for the cuckoo sound.
Precautions for Wall Hanging
Ensure the clock hangs perfectly straight.
Keep the clock fl ush against the wall.
The wall nail should protrude 2–3 mm beyond the thickness of the hanging hole to
prevent the clock from falling.
Other Precautions
If the clock is not in use or the batteries are depleted, remove the batteries promptly
to prevent leakage, which could damage the product.
Do not use strong acids or corrosive cleaning agents.
Do not wash the clock with water.
Avoid direct exposure to sunlight.
Do not use the clock outdoors.
Avoid using alkaline batteries.
Operating temperature range: 5°C to 45°C (41°F to 113°F).
Method 2:
Before starting, do not install the pendulum. If already installed, remove it.
1.
The clock has three volume levels. When adjusted fully to the left, there is no
2.
sound. When adjusted fully to the right, the sound is loudest.
Turn the hands clockwise to set the correct time, then install the batteries.
3.
Calculate the number of hours from 6:00 AM to the current time, and press the
4.
SET button that number of times plus one additional press.
Example: If the current time is 14:30 (2:30 PM), it is 8.5 hours from 6:00 AM.
5.
Press the SET button 9 times.
The cuckoo may sound while pressing the SET button. You may ignore this—it
6.
does not affect time accuracy.
Attach the pendulum to the pendulum hook on the swinging mechanism to start
7.
the clock.
Note: This method allows quick setup of the time-reporting feature. However, if the
number of button presses is incorrect, the time report will be inaccurate. Please
ensure correct AM/PM distinction.
If there is any confusion during setup or you need to restart the process:
Remove all batteries.
Wait 30 seconds.
Reinstall the batteries according to the instructions in this manual and repeat the
setup steps.
