Before dismantling
You need the following tools:
◆ Fork spanner, size 13
◆ Fork spanner, size 7
◆ Philips screwdriver
◆ Hexagon socket bit
◆ Pliers
◆ Stepladder
Safety advice for dismantling and restoring the
original state of your garage door.
There is a danger of injury due to a suddenly moving door.
◆ Interrupt the voltage supply so that the opener cannot be switched on
again unexpectedly.
Insufficient preparation will hinder the dismantling work
and the restoration of the original state of your garage
door and can result in injury.
◆ Keep all the tools and original parts of your garage door that are needed
in a suitable place so that they can be reached even when the door is
closed.
◆ Ensure that there is adequate lighting during the dismantling work.

Dismantling

1. Close the door fully and safeguard it from being opened
accidentally.
2. Unplug the mains plug from the socket and
safeguard the opener from being switched on again.
3. Decouple the garage door from the opener (e.g. by
pulling the internal release mechanism or by actuating
the external release mechanism, if available).
4. Remove the bolt between the connector and the door
bracket and take the connector off the door bracket.
5. Take the door bracket off the door.

Check after restoring the original state...:
◆ ...that the door is in a perfect mechanical state.
◆ ... the correct door balance. The door must move smoothly and easily
and after opening remain stationary at hip or shoulder height.
6. Screw the original door locking mechanisms onto the
door lock again and onto the door safety catches at the
side and screw them tight.
7. Remove all connecting cables for external accessories
(if available).
8. Finally, remove the opener (including sliding rails and
header bracket).
9. Carry out a final check to ensure that the door moves
safely and that the door locking mechanism works
properly.
