SICAM DCM is a robust solution designed to enhance the reliability and
efficiency of electrical utility operations. It consists of the
SICAM DCM MV-5511 and the SICAM DCM PS-5660 device.
SICAM DCM MV-5511 provides fault detection, control, and monitoring
within medium-voltage distribution systems with a modular design for
flexible application in both non-directional and directional capacitances.
SICAM DCM PS-5660 is a power supply unit, capable of supporting up to
6 MV-5511 units.
Hazardous voltages can result in death, physical injury, or
substantial material damage. Voltages can be present in the device
even after disconnecting the supply voltage (capacitors can still be
charged). Observe the safety instructions in the manuals!

Only a qualified electrician may connect, ground, label,
commission, and isolate the equipment (devices and modules).
Observe the manuals. The system is intended exclusively for use
in accordance with the manuals. The manuals contain installation
instructions, connection notes, terminal diagrams, connection
diagrams, and technical data.

► Dispose the electrical product at a garbage pick-up. DO NOT mix
with normal household waste.
Vendors must take back the electrical product free of charge.
Mounting and Commissioning
Only unplug or put in plugs when the system is de-energized. Prior to
connection, properly ground the device through the ground contact of the
DIN rail.
► Maintain a minimum distance of 30 mm (1.181 inch) around the
system (figure I). Screw the DIN rail properly to a grounded metallic
base. Additionally, keep a minimum distance from the device to prevent
safety hazard and accidental contact with the terminals. If the working
space is restricted in a cubicle, then provide suitable protective
terminals in the cubicle.
► Pull the locking hooks of the device exactly vertically upwards or
downwards and lock them to the housing (figure II).
► Disconnect the enclosed bus connector plug from the device and click it
onto the DIN rail separately (figure III). The end adapter, which comes
attached to the bus connector plug of the PS-5660, must also be
disconnected during this step.
► Plug the device with fixed locking hooks straight onto the bus connector
plug (figure IV). The devices must be adjacent to each other without
gaps.
► Press the locking hooks lightly toward the housing (figure IV). This
action snaps the locking hooks onto the DIN rail.
