Closing the Filex product
After testing your new code correctly with the door open, close the door by turning the keypad
anticlockwise. The door is now locked.
Opening the Filex product
Enter your personal code. Each keystroke will be confirmed by a beep and the yellow light coming
on. Press * or # to confirm your code. The green light will come on. You now have five seconds to
open the door by turning the keypad clockwise.
Lockout
The keypad will automatically lock for twenty seconds if three incorrect codes are entered
consecutively. After this lockout period, if you enter another three incorrect codes, there will be a
waiting time of five minutes.
Replacing the batteries
When the red light comes on, you need to replace the batteries. Remove the cover of the battery
compartment on the inside of the door and insert four batteries (see figure 1).
Warning: if replacing the batteries takes longer than thirty minutes, you must reprogramme the user
code. See the chapter 'Programming the user code' for more details.
Tamper protection
The keypad is automatically locked for 20 seconds after 3 consecutive invalid user codes. Entering
another 3 invalid codes will result in an additional five-minute lockout.
Warning: during the lockout you can only stop the warning signal by opening the safe with the emergency key and
removing the batteries.
