Opening the safe for the first time
Use the supplied emergency key to open the safe by removing the cover of the emergency lock,
insert the emergency key and turn it anticlockwise. Then turn the lock clockwise to open the door.
We recommend storing the emergency keys in a safe place after opening the safe and setting your
user code.
Warning: never keep the emergency keys inside the safe!
Inserting the batteries
This safe operates on 4 × AA batteries. Remove the cover of the battery compartment on the
inside of the door and insert the batteries. If the red light flashes, it means the batteries are almost
empty and need to be replaced.
Warning: if replacing the batteries takes longer than thirty minutes, the user code will be erased and must be reset. See
the instructions under 'Setting the user code'.
Warning: test the user code you have just programmed several times with the door open.

Setting the user code
At the back of the door there is a red button. When
pressed, the yellow light will come on. Now enter the
new code (three to eight digits) you wish to use as
your personal code and confirm this code with the *
or # key.
When you hear two beeps, the new code has been
accepted and activated. If the yellow light remains on
and you hear three beeps, your code has not been
accepted and you must programme a new one.
