seriously damaged.
• The battery is equipped with a protective shutdown against
overload and overheating. Do not turn on an appliance
if it has switched off automatically. This can damage the
battery.
• Only use Hammersmith MultiBattery batteries. The use
of other batteries may result in the risk of personal injury
and fire.
Notes on the charger and charging process
• The data indicated on the charger's rating plate must be
observed. The charger may only be connected to the mains
voltage specified upon it.
• Protect the charger and cable from damage and sharp
edges. Damaged cables must be replaced immediately;
contact our customer service department (contact details
can be found on the back of the manual).
• The charger and battery must be kept away from children.

charging times. These are only applicable to completely
discharged batteries. Repeated use of a charged or
partially charged battery will result in overcharging and
cell damage. Do not leave batteries connected to the
charger for an extended period of time.
• Batteries that have not been charged for more than 12
months must not be used or charged. There is a high risk
that the battery has already been damaged due to deep
discharge.
• Charging at temperatures below 10°C should be avoided,
as this may cause mechanical damage to the cells and
lead to a fire.
• You must cease use of batteries that have become hot
during charging immediately, as the battery cells may
be damaged.
• Batteries that have swollen or deformed during charging
or that show unusual symptoms such as the release of
gases, hissing or cracking must no longer be used.
• Never leave batteries unattended while charging.
