Instructions
User Guide: When used in accordance with these instructions the booster cushion allows an approved adult seat belt to
be used by a person of small stature.
Product Care/Cleaning Instructions: To remove fabric first undo Velcro strips in front of seat belt guides (Fig a). Then unzip
the internal zipper in the lining (Fig b) to peel fabric away from plastic shell, starting from the corners (Fig c). Follow the
wash care label attached for advice on cleaning the BoostApak fabric. Never use bleach, dye, or chemical cleaners. Only
sponge clean the BoostApak fabric, using hand soap and warm water.
Installation: Follow installation instructions closely as an incorrect installation could be dangerous.
IMPORTANT - This booster seat is only suitable for use in vehicles fitted with 3 point retractor safety belts approved to ECE
Regulation No. 16 or other equivalent standards.
Place the BoostApak forward facing on the vehicle seat (see installation diagram on the BoostApak seat). 1. Lift up the
front to reveal armrests. 2. Lift armrests until they lock into an upright position. 3. Attach the shoulder clip link strap to the
D-ring, located at the rear of the BoostApak, on the same side as the vehicle buckle. 4. Ensure clip is at the correct height
for the user. Pull the clip directly upwards from the 'd' loop, the marker beneath the Trunki logo should be shoulder height.
5. When length is set, swing the clip to the opposite shoulder and fix behind the user to the diagonal section of the seat
belt. 6. Place child on BoostApak and pass the seat belt lap portion over their lap ensuring the belt is over the red sticker
on each side of the BoostApak. Engage the buckle and ensure the diagonal belt is over the red sticker on the arm rest,
across the chest and over the shoulder. Ensure the diagonal belt engages with the shoulder strap clip. When using the
BoostApak outside the vehicle the armrests can be lowered by pressing the buttons on the side.
WARNINGS - 1. DO NOT use in any configuration not shown in the instructions. 2. DO NOT use any load bearing contact
points other than those described in the instructions and marked on the BoostApak.
3. DO NOT use the BoostApak in any seating position where an airbag is present, unless the airbag can be switched off.
4. IMPORTANT - Ensure that the vehicle seat belts are not twisted and that the lap strap is worn low down, so that the
pelvis is firmly engaged. 5. DO NOT make any alterations or additions to this product without approval of the manufactur-
er. Only use fabric as recommended by the manufacturer, other fabrics could reduce the performance. Check the fabric
cover from time to time to ensure it is not damaged or torn in any way and that the zip is in good order. If any damage
is detected or the zip does not function, contact the manufacturer immediately for a replacement fabric. Do not use the
product unless the fabric is in good order. 6. DO NOT use the BoostApak if it is damaged or has been subject to any
violent stresses of an accident. 7. DO NOT use an ordinary loose cushion to substitute or use with the booster seat. 8.
IMPORTANT - Secure luggage or objects liable to cause injuries in the event of an accident. 9. IMPORTANT - All rigid items
and plastic parts of the child restraint must be located and installed so that they are not likely, during everyday use of the
vehicle, to become trapped by a movable seat or in a door of the vehicle. 10. IMPORTANT - Ensure the BoostApak is not
overfilled such that the back becomes distorted (Fig d & e). 11. IMPORTANT - Max weight of BoostApak and its contents
should not exceed 15% of the child's weight. 12. DO NOT leave a child in the child restraint system unattended. 13. The
booster must only be used in vehicle seating positions indicated and facing in the direction of travel (forward). Please refer
to the vehicle owners manual to clarify the suitability of other seating positions which may not be indicated. 14. The plastic
parts of the BoostApak may become hot if left in direct sunlight. Please avoid contact with the child's skin.
