carefully before use to ensure proper and safe operation. This
power supply unit has a series of integrated protection mea-

Getting started
1. a) Determine which power supply your laptop/netbook
reqwres.
The voltage specifications can usually be found on the original
power supply unit or in the user manual of your notebook/
netbook

Set the required output voltage on the laptop power supply unit
Warning:
Your laptop/netbook may be damaged if it requires a different
voltage than the one set. Do not connect the power supply unit
to your laptop if you have any doubts as to the voltage
b) Ensure that the total power consumption of the notebook/
netbook does not exceed the power supply unit's rated output
capacity of 90 W.
2. The adaptor plugs included with the power supply unit cover
most common notebooks/netbooks

Please select the correct adapter using the plug on the original
power supply unit. You may want to check whether the adapter
fits into the notebook's
socket
while
and the power supply unit is NOT connected. The plug should
slide into the socket easily and fit securely without too much
play.
Warning:
Do not use force under any circumstances. This may damage

3. Connect the correct adapterto the power cable's DC
connection line. This connection is protected against polarity
reversal; i.e. the adapter fits easily into the connection cable in
one position only. Therefore, it is extremely important that you
never attempt to forcibly insert the adaptor plug in the wrong
position, as this can lead to the polarity being reversed.
Warning:
If the polarity is reversed then the notebook may be damaged
4. First connect the power supply unit with the laptop/netbook.
Then, plug the mains plug of the power cable into the power
outlet.
You can also use the USB port of the power supply unit to
charge or operate devices which can be supplied with power
via USB, e.g. MP3 players, navigation devices, etc.
The maximum output current of the USB socket is 2000 mA.
5. Safety and usage precautions
Never attempt to open the device or to modify it in any way

The connection socket, connection cable or plug are damaged
The housing of the power supply unit is damaged
The device is defective, i.e. produces no outgoing voltage
