• Make sure the appliance is always situated in a safe location.
Do not expose the appliance to rain or wet conditions. Avoid
spilling or dripping water or other liquids on the appliance. The
entry of water into electrical appliances increases the risk of
electric shock.
• Never store the appliance in such a way that it can fall into a
bathtub or washbasin.
• Never reach for an electrical appliance if it has fallen into water.
Pull the plug from the mains socket-outlet.
• Make sure all connectors and cables are free of moisture. Never
connect the appliance to the mains power with wet hands.
• To avoid damage to the appliance, make sure the mains voltage
matches the input voltage indicated on the appliance (100-
127 V AC / 220-240 V AC).
• Plug the appliance into a correctly installed mains socket-outlet
with earthing contacts only. The socket-outlet must be easily
accessible even after the appliance has been plugged in.
• Do not operate the appliance with an external timer or a
separate remote control system.
• Do not cover the appliance as it may then be damaged by
excessive heating.
• Keep the appliance away from naked flames and hot surfaces.
• Stop using the appliance as soon as you detect smoke or an
unusual smell.
• Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the appliance. Have a
faulty appliance repaired or replaced by an authorised specialist
workshop.
• Always let the appliance cool down completely before storing or
transporting it.
• Do not use the appliance on a combustible surface or in the
proximity of combustible materials.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation.
